Zipfy Aluminum Blow Molds for Snow Sled for the Toy Industry

Woodward Industries, Inc. recently manufactured a series of blow molds for  a company that supplies their own unique version of Kayaks. Meeting a .001 of an inch precision tolerance, we used our advanced blow molding technology to produce these boat molds, based on customer design ideas.

Constructed from aluminum materials, each kayak mold contained one cavity and included special features, such as attached mounting rails and gun-drilled water lines. A hydaulic cylinder was used to creat the negative feature side handle. In addition, all units were sand blasted to create a beautiful finish. We also designed each Kayak blow mold to have a 1.018 shrinkage allowance to ensure that when the boat contracted during solidification, the units would still meet client specifications.

Offering many years of expertise in the mold making business, Woodward Industries, Inc. was able to employ our blow molding technology to successfully manufacture a series of kayak molds that met our client's high expectations for quality.
